Great Pumpkin Dessert

This recipe is easier to make than pie, and it's SO scrumptious! Yummy with whipped cream!

1 can (15 oz) solid-pack pumpkin OR 1 3/4 c cooked pumpkin
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
3 eggs
1 c sugar
4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 pkg (18 1/4 oz) yellow cake mix
3/4 c butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 c chopped pecans

In a mixing bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Trasfer to a greased 13x9" baking pan. Sprinkle with dry cake mix and drizzle with butter. Top with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr or til a knife inserted near center comes out clean. Makes 12-16 servings.

I served this dessert to my Women's Bible Study group early in November and each and everyone of them requested the recipe. They ALL reported back that they made this for family over Thanksgiving and it was unanimously approved. Thanks for making us all look good! :)
